LG 360 VR - Review

    • LG 360 VR - Review

The Virtual Reality product (LG 360 VR) is designed by LG. The LG 360 VR headset was basically released with LG G5 mobile phone and was used to promote LG G5.

Unlike Samsung Gear VR headset the LG 360 VR has an internal built in display.

This internal built in display allows a plugging for power directly to the phone. You can control the LG 360 VR headset from your smart phone screen by just tapping on it. The design given by LG to this virtual reality headset was for the enjoyment of virtual reality headset.

      LG 360 VR Design

      Appearance

LG 360 VR head set has a unique appearance unlike other virtual reality headsets available in the market. The LG engineers attempted to give this headset a sporty look.

The arms of the LG 360 VR headset are made up of plastic which is just like 3 dimensional glasses you get at the cinema. Most of the area of LG 360 VR is grey plastic and features a flexible fabric light shield.

The other plus point in the LG 360 VR headset’s design is LG’S minimalist approach. This means the 360 VR doesn’t require any strapping into place, and it will probably be the most comfortable VR headset you’ll wear.

      Extra buttons

There is an OK and Back button on the top right of the visor, which can also be used to control the headset instead of using your phone’s screen. As the LG 360 VR uses the G5’s USB Type-C port, you can’t charge the phone while using the headset.

      Audio Jack

At the left bottom of the visor you can find a 3.5 mm audio jack, but you can also plug-in your headphones to the phone directly.

      Adjustable Lenses

The LG 360 VR comes with two adjustable lenses, these lenses are covered with two lens covers. These lenses can be refocused and can move horizontally in order to line up with your eyes perfectly. Unfortunately the LG 360 VR headset’s design does not allows you to use it with glasses on.

      LG 360 VR Performances

When you get to know that it is actually the LG G5 phone that is doing all the work in terms of actually driving the 360 VR's practices, you would definitely expect a steady performance.

We all know that the LG G5 is one of the most influential smart phones present in the market, including features like Adreno 530 GPU, Snapdragon 820 and a 4GB RAM. The first experience with the LG 360 VR’s performance is satisfactory to say the minimum.

Having a 920 x 720 resolution per eye, this headset provides a normal resolution rate as compared to all other high quality virtual reality headsets present in the market. Although using it is a rollercoaster ride through various mixed experiences.

How to set up LG 360 VR head set?

First of all connect the USB connector of the headset on to your smart phone. This process will take a few minutes. The moment your LG 360 VR headset is on, the screen of your smart phone will become off, and now you can use your phone as a touchpad.

If you have connected LG Hi-Fi plus, disconnect it otherwise The headset will not work normally.

The LG 360 VR cares for your phone battery life. The LG 360 VR turns off automatically in order to save the battery of your phone, if your phone remains idle without playing any video or application for a minimum of 15 minutes.

      Product Packaging

Well, the packaging is quite simple as all the other products of LG. It comes in a simple box will all the accessories in it. It is okay to say that the packaging is safe, but should be dealt with care, in the end, it is a delicate product. Everything looks good until it is inside the box.
